Sticky Canadian - Summary

The Sticky Canadian is a playful and unique shot that combines the smooth, tropical essence of white rum with the rich, complex sweetness of 100% real maple syrup. This drink offers a delightful balance of flavors, merging the Caribbean's vibrant spirit with a touch of Canadian heritage. The white rum brings a light and refreshing base, while the maple syrup adds depth and a natural sweetness that lingers on the palate. Together, these ingredients create a shot that is both simple and sophisticated, perfect for those looking to experience a taste of two distinct regions in one sip.

The history of the Sticky Canadian is not well-documented, but it likely emerged as a creative way to celebrate the unique qualities of both rum and maple syrup. Maple syrup is a staple of Canadian culture, known for its versatility and distinct taste. By pairing it with rum, a spirit with a storied history in the Caribbean and beyond, the Sticky Canadian pays homage to the diverse influences in North American mixology. This shot encapsulates the adventurous spirit of bartenders and drink enthusiasts who enjoy blending different cultural elements to create something new and exciting.

This drink style is classified as a Shot and is Alcoholic, so drink responsibly! The recommended glass type for this drink is a Shot Glass. We say, feel free to serve it in whatever you have available; it will still taste the same :)

You may also use different variations of the same ingredient. For example, you could change up fruit types or sugar substitutes. Other substitutions would include different brands of liquor. For example, if your drink calls for a specific type of whiskey, you could try using bourbon instead of Irish.
