About Alaskan Midnight Sun

The Alaskan Midnight Sun is a warm and invigorating cocktail that captures the rugged spirit of the North. This drink combines the sweetness and boldness of Yukon Jack Whisky, a Canadian spirit known for its honeyed flavor and robust character, with the citrusy zest of a splash of orange soda. The addition of boiling water not only mellows the intensity but also transforms the concoction into a soothing beverage, perfect for warding off the chill of cold nights. The cocktail's name evokes the unique phenomenon of the midnight sun experienced in regions near the Arctic Circle, where the sun remains visible at midnight during the summer months.

The origin of the Alaskan Midnight Sun cocktail is not well-documented, but it reflects the inventive spirit of bartenders seeking to create a warming drink suitable for harsh climates. Yukon Jack Whisky, often dubbed the "Black sheep of Canadian liquors," provides a distinctive base that pairs harmoniously with the orange soda, adding a layer of complexity and sweetness. This cocktail is ideal for those looking to experience a taste of the untamed wilderness without leaving the comfort of their home. Its simplicity and warmth make it a fitting choice for adventurous spirits and cozy gatherings alike.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Coffee Mug, though any glass works!
