About Bermuda Rum Swizzle

The Bermuda Rum Swizzle is often referred to as Bermuda's national drink, embodying the island's vibrant culture and tropical allure. This cocktail is a delightful blend of flavors that transports you to the Caribbean with every sip. The drink is anchored by Goslings Black Seal Rum, a rich and aromatic dark rum that lends depth and character. Combined with the tartness of fresh lemon or lime juice and the sweetness of pineapple and orange juices, the Swizzle achieves a perfect balance of fruity and tangy notes. The addition of grenadine or the distinctly spiced Bermuda Falernum adds a touch of sweetness and complexity, while a few dashes of bitters bring everything together, enhancing the overall flavor profile. Served over crushed ice, the Bermuda Rum Swizzle is refreshing and enticing, making it an ideal companion for warm, sunny days.

The origins of the Bermuda Rum Swizzle trace back to the 18th century, with the Swizzle Inn, Bermuda's oldest pub, often credited for popularizing it. The drink is named after the swizzle stick, a traditional tool used to mix ingredients in a glass. Over the years, the cocktail has become synonymous with Bermuda's hospitality, enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. Its enduring popularity is a testament to its irresistible blend of flavors and the spirit of Bermuda that it captures in every glass.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
