About Bloody Murder

The Bloody Murder is a bold and fiery cocktail that takes inspiration from the classic Bloody Mary but adds an intense kick. Comprising 100 proof vodka, tomato juice, and a hefty tablespoon of cayenne peppers, this drink is not for the faint of heart. The high-proof vodka provides a robust base, while the tomato juice offers a familiar, savory depth. The cayenne peppers bring a searing heat that sets the Bloody Murder apart, creating a drink that is both invigorating and challenging.

The origins of the Bloody Murder are somewhat obscure, but it likely emerged from the experimental cocktail culture that thrives on pushing boundaries and exploring bold flavors. It shares a lineage with the Bloody Mary, which was invented in the early 20th century and became a brunch staple known for its complex flavors and perceived hangover-curing properties. The Bloody Murder, however, escalates the spice factor significantly, appealing to those who are adventurous with their palates and seeking a thrilling cocktail experience.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Collins Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
