Alcoholic Shot Shot Glass 3 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Reunite Lambrusco
  • splash Lime Juice

Instructions

This drink was created by the great bartenders at the long lost but not forgotten Winners Circle at the old Hilton Inn in Tulsa Ok in about 1978. This started as a shot drink, and was so well liked and "low impact" that it grew up to be served in a large doubles glass. Great summer drink, but that Riunite can leave you with a nasty little hang over....pour Vodka in shot or test tube, add Wine and top with splash of Lime. If you like a little, you can do this on a grand scale in a double old fashioned glass. Great around the pool!

About Bumper Sticker

The Bumper Sticker shot is a playful and vibrant concoction that combines the crispness of vodka with the fruity effervescence of Reunite Lambrusco, all brightened by a splash of lime juice. This intriguing blend creates a harmonious balance between the clean, neutral flavor of vodka and the slightly sweet, sparkling red wine. A hint of lime juice adds a refreshing citrus twist, elevating the drink's overall profile and making it an ideal choice for those who enjoy a shot that's both bold and refreshing.

The origins of the Bumper Sticker shot are not clearly documented, but it likely emerged from the experimental cocktail culture that encourages mixing unexpected ingredients to craft unique drinking experiences. Reunite Lambrusco, a popular Italian sparkling wine known for its approachable sweetness, gained significant popularity in the United States during the 1970s and 1980s. Pairing it with vodka, a staple in many bars, and lime juice, a classic cocktail enhancer, reflects a playful and creative approach typical of modern mixology. As a result, the Bumper Sticker shot is both a nod to nostalgic flavors and a testament to contemporary cocktail innovation.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Shot Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
