About Caipirinha

The Caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail, celebrated for its simple yet vibrant flavors. This refreshing drink is made using 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar and 8 wedges of lime, which are muddled together to release the lime's essential oils and juice, blending the tartness with the sweetness of the sugar. The key ingredient is 2 oz of cachaça, a Brazilian spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice, which adds a smooth, potent kick to the cocktail. Traditionally served in a short glass over crushed ice, the Caipirinha is both potent and refreshingly tangy, making it a perfect beverage for hot weather and festive occasions.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
