Instructions

Inventors of this drink is two Navy buddies in the Persian Gulf war that were missing home, and were like pirates. They are B. Erickson and J. Fallon. This was made famous at one time by being put on the menu of "TGIFs" in Singapore because these two drank so much of it there, even to the point of having "pitchers of Rum and coke" with the pitchers of Beer put on the MENU! These two drank this everywhere, even drinking a bar in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, completely dry of Rum and Amaretto in only TWO days. Erickson even got a tattoo on his leg of the Bacardi bat. The drink is still being spread around the world in bars everywhere by these two and more who discover this wonderful tasting drink! The drink was also known at "Hurricanes" and other bars in the San Diego area in the mid-ninetys because of these two. Unknown if it made it onto the menus there, the bar tenders and waitresses would just bring the drink, it was the "usual." Try it and you will be hooked...Fill 1/2 glass with ice, add shot of Bacardi, add shot of Amaretto, fill rest of glass with Coke. Stir.

About Caribbean Almond

The Caribbean Almond is a refreshing and flavorful cocktail that combines the tropical allure of white rum with the nutty sweetness of Amaretto Di Saronno Liqueur. This drink is complemented by the familiar fizz of Coca Cola, creating a delightful blend of flavors that is both exotic and comforting. The ice cubes added to the mix ensure that the drink is served chilled, making it perfect for relaxing on a warm day or enjoying at a casual gathering.

The origins of the Caribbean Almond cocktail aren't as clearly defined as some classic drinks, but it likely emerged from the creative mixing of traditional Caribbean spirits with popular liqueurs and soft drinks. White rum, a staple of Caribbean culture, provides a strong yet smooth base, while Amaretto, an Italian liqueur, adds a unique almond essence that pairs surprisingly well with the cola's caramel notes. This cocktail embodies a fusion of cultures and flavors, making it a modern favorite for those seeking a taste of the Caribbean with an unexpected twist.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Collins Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
