About Cherry Bourbon Smash

The Cherry Bourbon Smash is a vibrant and refreshing cocktail that combines the robust, oaky flavors of bourbon whiskey with the sweet and tart essence of fresh cherries. This drink is brightened by the addition of zesty lemon, which adds a refreshing citrus note, and is balanced with simple syrup to provide a touch of sweetness. The result is a well-rounded cocktail that is both invigorating and satisfying, perfect for sipping on a warm evening or enjoying at a casual gathering.

The origins of the Cherry Bourbon Smash can be traced back to the broader category of "smash" cocktails, which have been around since the 19th century. A smash is essentially a short julep, traditionally made with a spirit, sugar, water, and fresh mint or fruit, served over ice. The Cherry Bourbon Smash is a modern twist on this classic style, highlighting the rich, caramel notes of bourbon while incorporating the lush, juicy flavor of cherries. This cocktail has grown in popularity due to its delicious balance of flavors and the way it showcases the versatility of bourbon in mixed drinks.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
