About Eggnog Old Fashioned

The Eggnog Old Fashioned is a festive twist on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, combining the rich, creamy flavors of traditional eggnog with the smooth, robust notes of bourbon whiskey. This delightful concoction is accented with a touch of bitters and sweetened with simple syrup, creating a harmonious blend of warmth and spice that evokes the comforting spirit of the holiday season. The drink is an indulgent treat that marries the best of both worlds: the elegance of an Old Fashioned and the nostalgic comfort of eggnog.

The roots of the Old Fashioned cocktail can be traced back to the early 19th century, where it began as a simple mixture of spirits, sugar, water, and bitters. Meanwhile, eggnog, with origins in medieval Britain, became a popular holiday beverage in America during the 18th century. The Eggnog Old Fashioned is a modern innovation, drawing upon these rich histories to offer a unique and celebratory take on the traditional cocktail. Its creamy texture and aromatic spices make it an ideal drink for winter gatherings, adding a touch of seasonal cheer to any occasion.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
