Alcoholic Shot Shot Glass 2 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1/2 shot Everclear
  • fill with Tonic Water

Instructions

Invented by several of my (retrospectively) foolhardy friends... the "ET" or "E&T" is a play off the movie, and the classic Gin and Tonic. It was invented as a means to consume Everclear without spending several hours (of what otherwise could have been a pleasant night) praying to the porcelain gods. Amazingly enough, the Tonic Water hides the half shot of death rather well... though I'd personally use a taller shot glass so you get about 1:2 on the Tonic. Don't get me wrong though, it will still knock you on your ass... but for what it is, its a keeper.Pour a half shot of Everclear into a shot glass Fill to the brim with Tonic Water

About ET

The ET shot is a bold and intriguing concoction that combines the potent strength of Everclear with the fizzy refreshment of tonic water. Everclear, known for its high alcohol content, forms the backbone of this shot, providing a powerful kick that is softened slightly by the effervescent and subtly bitter tonic water. The result is a drink that is both strong and surprisingly refreshing, making it an adventurous choice for those looking to explore beyond the usual bar offerings.

The name "ET" might evoke thoughts of extraterrestrial themes, possibly due to the drink's potency that can take you to another world, or simply as a playful nod to the mix of mysterious ingredients. While the origins of the ET shot are not well-documented, it likely emerged from the creative experimentation of bartenders or party-goers seeking to craft a memorable and impactful experience. Whatever its beginnings, the ET shot remains a testament to the adventurous spirit of mixology, offering a unique tasting experience that stands out in any social gathering.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Shot Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
