About Fat Charley

The Fat Charley cocktail is a vibrant and tropical drink that captures the essence of a sunny beach getaway in every sip. It is a delightful blend of white rum and coconut rum, which together provide a smooth and subtly sweet base. The addition of banana schnapps introduces a playful, fruity twist that complements the tropical theme. Orange juice adds a refreshing citrusy note, balancing the sweetness, while a splash of cranberry juice gives the cocktail a hint of tartness and a visually appealing blush.

The origins of the Fat Charley are somewhat elusive, much like many modern tropical cocktails that evolve through experimentation and local variations. It stands as a testament to the creativity of bartenders who enjoy mixing different flavors to create something both refreshing and enticing. While it might not have a long-established history, its composition reflects the enduring popularity of tropical cocktails that transport drinkers to a laid-back, island paradise, regardless of their actual location. Whether enjoyed by the poolside or at a festive gathering, the Fat Charley is sure to delight with its cheerful and vibrant flavors.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Collins Glass, though any glass works!
