About Gaelic Flip

The Gaelic Flip is a rich and warming cocktail that brings together the robust flavors of Irish whiskey with the sweet and spiced notes of sweet vermouth and allspice. The addition of simple syrup adds a touch of sweetness, while the egg provides a creamy texture, creating a smooth and velvety drink. The combination of these ingredients results in a luscious and well-balanced cocktail, perfect for sipping on a chilly evening.

The history of flips dates back to the late 17th century, where they were originally made with ale, sugar, and spices, heated with a red-hot poker. Over time, the drink evolved, and by the 19th century, the addition of eggs became a common feature, offering a frothy and rich texture. The Gaelic Flip, with its use of Irish whiskey, pays homage to the traditional spirit of Ireland, while incorporating the classic elements of a flip, making it a delightful blend of history and flavor.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
