Alcoholic Shot Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass 2 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1/2 can Energy Drink (Red Bull)
  • 1 - 2 oz Jagermeister

Instructions

The Jager Bomb is originally a mixture of Energy Drink (Red Bull) and Jagermeister, both being popular products, although its increasingly common for other energy drinks to be substituted for the RB. The caffeine-alcohol combination creates a unique "high" or at the very least, a counteract to the depressant of alcohol - making you more aware, more energetic, and more active.Pour Red Bull into a medium sized glass. Add a shot glass of jagermeister, and chug.

About Jager Bomb

The Jäger Bomb is a popular party shot that combines the herbal flavors of Jägermeister, a German liqueur, with the intense energy boost of an energy drink, typically Red Bull. This combination results in a drink that is both invigorating and flavorful, providing a quick rush from the caffeine and sugar of the energy drink, alongside the distinctive licorice-like taste of Jägermeister. The Jäger Bomb is typically prepared by dropping a shot glass of Jägermeister into a larger glass containing half a can of an energy drink, creating a visually exciting and energetic experience.

The origins of the Jäger Bomb are somewhat unclear, but it gained popularity in the early 2000s, particularly in bars and nightclubs. Jägermeister itself has a much longer history, having been created in 1934 by Curt Mast in Germany. Known for its complex blend of 56 different herbs, fruits, roots, and spices, Jägermeister was traditionally consumed as a digestif. However, its integration with energy drinks like Red Bull helped to propel the Jäger Bomb into the limelight, making it a staple of nightlife culture and a symbol of youthful revelry. Despite some controversy over its high energy and alcohol content, the Jäger Bomb remains a widely enjoyed drink for those seeking a spirited and lively experience.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
