Alcoholic Cocktail Beer Mug or Pilsner Glass 5 ingredients

Recipe

  • Slices of 1/2 Lemon
  • Ice
  • 1/3 Vodka (Lemon)
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Fill up with 2/3 Tonic Water (Lemon)

Instructions

First slice half a Lemon in small slices. Then some ice, I prefer alot of ice in this drink. Pour the Vodka in, press the rest of the Lemon in the glass. Mix around and then fill up with Schweppes Lemon. Mix again and you're finished. If you don't got the Schweppes Lemon you can always use Soda (Orange) Lemon instead, but it will be a lot sweeter.

About Moilanen

The Moilanen cocktail is a refreshing and zesty drink that combines the vibrant citrus flavors of lemon with the crispness of tonic water. It features a balance of tartness and sweetness, starting with slices of fresh lemon that infuse the drink with natural citrus oils. The foundation of the cocktail is lemon-flavored vodka, which adds a smooth yet potent kick. Freshly squeezed lemon juice enhances the tanginess, while the drink is topped off with lemon tonic water, providing both effervescence and a touch of bitterness. Served over ice, the Moilanen is a perfect choice for those who enjoy a light, citrus-forward cocktail with a hint of complexity.

Although the exact origins of the Moilanen cocktail are somewhat obscure, it likely emerged as a variation on classic vodka and tonic combinations, with an added emphasis on lemon flavors. The name "Moilanen" suggests Finnish or Scandinavian roots, hinting at a possible connection to the Nordic countries where vodka is a staple spirit. Over time, the Moilanen has gained popularity as a modern, refreshing drink, ideal for warm weather or as a sophisticated aperitif. Its appeal lies in its simplicity and the way it elevates familiar ingredients into a satisfying and elegant cocktail experience.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Beer Mug or Pilsner Glass, though any glass works!
