  • 1 shot cheap Brandy
  • 1 slice Lemon
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Instructions

Fill a tall shot glass with the cheapest Brandy that you can find. Take your round slice of Lemon and place it over the top of the pony glass. Pour Sugar over one half of the Lemon leaving the other half bare. Pour instant Coffee over the other half of the Lemon (next to the Sugar). Fold the Lemon slice in half and put in mouth biting off the rind. Chew and swallow the Lemon combination and chase immediately with the Brandy in the shot glass.

About Nickler

The Nickler is a bold and intriguing shot that combines the richness of brandy with the tangy zest of lemon, the sweetness of sugar, and the robust flavor of instant coffee. The juxtaposition of these ingredients creates a unique taste experience, where the warming depth of the brandy is complemented by the citrusy brightness of the lemon. The sugar adds a touch of sweetness that balances the bitterness of the coffee, resulting in a harmonious blend of flavors that is both invigorating and satisfying.

The origins of the Nickler are somewhat obscure, but it likely emerged from the creativity of bartenders experimenting with bold and unconventional flavor pairings. Its use of cheap brandy suggests it may have been popularized in settings where affordability was key, making it accessible to a wide range of drinkers. The Nickler's unusual combination of ingredients makes it a memorable shot, often enjoyed by those looking for something out of the ordinary on a night out. Its intriguing mix of flavors ensures it remains a conversation starter and a testament to the adventurous spirit of mixology.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Shot Glass, though any glass works!
