About Old Nick

The Old Nick cocktail is a sophisticated blend that brings together the robust flavors of Canadian whisky and Scotch whisky, complemented by the bright, refreshing notes of orange and lemon juice. The addition of orange bitters enhances the citrus elements and adds a layer of complexity to the drink. This cocktail is a delightful balance of smooth, smoky whisky and tangy, vibrant fruit flavors, making it both an invigorating and warming choice for whisky enthusiasts.

The origin of the Old Nick cocktail is not widely documented, but its name suggests a nod to the devilish moniker "Old Nick," often used colloquially to refer to the devil. This could imply a certain mischievous charm or a bold, daring quality to the drink, reflecting the robust blend of whiskies and the intriguing mix of flavors. While not as renowned as other classic cocktails, the Old Nick stands out for its unique combination of ingredients, offering a contemporary twist on traditional whisky cocktails and appealing to those who enjoy exploring new taste experiences.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
