About Red Moon

The Red Moon cocktail is a refreshing and vibrant drink that combines the sweetness of peach schnapps with the smoothness of vodka, balanced by the effervescence of lemon-lime soda. The drink is finished with a maraschino cherry and a dash of its juice, adding a hint of sweetness and a pop of color that gives the cocktail its name. This concoction is perfect for those who enjoy a light, fruity beverage with a sparkling twist, making it an ideal choice for casual gatherings or as a pre-dinner aperitif.

The history of the Red Moon cocktail is not widely documented, as it is a relatively modern creation. It likely emerged as part of the late 20th-century trend of sweet, colorful cocktails that became popular in bars and restaurants. The use of peach schnapps and lemon-lime soda reflects a broader movement towards more approachable and flavor-forward drinks during this time. Though not as storied as some classic cocktails, the Red Moon has carved out its niche as a delightful, easy-to-enjoy beverage. Its appealing taste and visual allure continue to make it a favorite among those seeking a refreshing and visually striking drink.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
