About Reptile (Orginal)

The Reptile cocktail is a unique blend that combines the robust character of Early Times straight Kentucky Whiskey with the refreshing sweetness of orange juice and the effervescence of lemon-lime soda. The addition of crushed grapes gives this drink a fruity twist, adding layers of complexity to its flavor profile. With its balance of sweet, tangy, and strong notes, the Reptile is a versatile cocktail that can be enjoyed on various occasions. The whiskey provides a warming depth, while the citrus elements lighten the overall experience, making it both invigorating and satisfying.

The origins of the Reptile cocktail are somewhat obscure, as it doesn't have the long-standing history of some classic cocktails. However, its composition reflects a modern trend of blending traditional spirits with fresh, fruity ingredients to create something new and exciting. The use of Early Times whiskey—a brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1860—highlights the trend of incorporating time-honored spirits into contemporary mixology. This cocktail is ideal for those who appreciate the fusion of classic whiskey with playful, fruity twists, offering a delightful experience for both seasoned and adventurous palates.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Highball Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
