Alcoholic Cocktail Beer Mug or Pilsner Glass 3 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1/2 oz Irish Cream Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz Irish Whiskey
  • 1/2 pint root Beer

Instructions

The higher quality the root Beer, the better. Usually whatever the establishment has on tap will be fine. I.B.C. Root Beer can be used as a more expensive alternative. The Baileys and Jameson curdle much more slowly in the root Beer as they do in an Irish Car Bomb, so this can be mixed as a drink. Don't worry about letting it sit for long enough to curdle, as this is so good that you'll drink it pretty fast. A great alternative for those who aren't such a fan of Guinness. Simply alter the amount of root Beer to suit your personal taste. Also cheaper and less calories than an Irish Car Bomb! "Naturally, I had to name this one after myself. Its easy to describe to the bartender, but be prepared to get some funny looks. Order this one by name and maybe it'll catch on!"The root Beer is poured in a Beer mug and the shots are prepared in a shot glass, just like an Irish Car Bomb. The shot can either be dropped in the root Beer and taken like an Irish Car Bomb, or the shot can be poured in to Mix with the root Beer.

About Savage Car Bomb

The Savage Car Bomb is a playful twist on the classic Irish Car Bomb, substituting the traditional stout with root beer to create a unique and flavorful experience. This cocktail combines 1/2 ounce of Irish cream liqueur and 1/2 ounce of Irish whiskey, creating a rich and creamy blend with a hint of warmth and spice from the whiskey. The addition of half a pint of root beer introduces a sweet, frothy element with hints of vanilla and sassafras, resulting in a smooth and indulgent drink that offers a delightful balance of flavors.

The origins of the Savage Car Bomb are less documented than those of its predecessor, the Irish Car Bomb, which was created in the 1970s by Charles Burke Cronin Oat in Connecticut. The Savage Car Bomb likely emerged as a modern adaptation, appealing to those who enjoy the iconic combination of Irish whiskey and cream but seek a sweeter alternative to the robust stout. Its playful name reflects both its roots and its unexpected twist, offering a fresh take on a beloved classic. This drink is perfect for those who appreciate inventive cocktails and enjoy exploring new flavor profiles in a familiar format.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Beer Mug or Pilsner Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
