About Spring Break

The Spring Break cocktail is a refreshing and vibrant drink that captures the essence of relaxation and fun associated with its namesake vacation period. This cocktail combines the bold fruitiness of Kurant vodka, which is known for its blackcurrant flavor, with the exotic sweetness of lychee liqueur. Topped with club soda, the drink achieves a light and bubbly finish, making it an ideal choice for a sunny day or a lively evening gathering. The balance of flavors is designed to be both intriguing and approachable, appealing to those who enjoy a touch of sophistication in their cocktails without sacrificing ease of enjoyment.

The history of the Spring Break cocktail is not well-documented, but it likely emerged from the modern mixology movement that embraces creative flavor combinations and global influences. The choice of lychee, a fruit native to the Guangdong and Fujian provinces of China, reflects a trend in cocktails to incorporate exotic and tropical ingredients. Meanwhile, Kurant vodka, which brings a distinct berry-like profile, adds a contemporary twist to the mix. This cocktail exemplifies the spirit of innovation and experimentation that has become a hallmark of modern bartending, aiming to offer a taste experience that is both novel and reminiscent of the carefree joy of spring break vacations.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Highball Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
