About St-Germain Spritz

The St-Germain Spritz is a refreshing and elegant cocktail that combines the floral sweetness of elderflower liqueur with the effervescence of sparkling wine and the crispness of club soda. This delightful drink is perfect for warm weather or any occasion that calls for a light and bubbly refreshment. The elderflower liqueur, St-Germain, is the star of the show, lending its delicate floral notes and subtle sweetness, which are beautifully complemented by the dry, crisp sparkle of the wine. A splash of club soda adds extra fizz and a touch of lightness, making the cocktail incredibly refreshing and easy to sip.

The history of the St-Germain Spritz is closely tied to the relatively recent introduction of St-Germain elderflower liqueur, which was launched in 2007. Created by Rob Cooper, St-Germain quickly gained popularity for its unique, aromatic flavor and its ability to elevate cocktails with its floral profile. The spritz, a classic cocktail style known for its simplicity and refreshing qualities, was a natural fit for showcasing St-Germain. By pairing it with sparkling wine, the St-Germain Spritz offers a modern twist on the traditional spritz, capturing the essence of leisurely European afternoons spent enjoying light, bubbly drinks.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Wine Glass, though any glass works!
