Alcoholic Shot Shot Glass 3 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1 oz Schnapps (Cinnamon)
  • 1 oz Schnapps (Peach)
  • 1 oz Absinthe

Instructions

Created by bartender Oded of Israel (where the absinthe is real). This is a modified version of the Traffic Light which uses layering or balancing the alcohols on top of one another.Layer the aftershock, Schnapps (Peach), and then the absinthe (in that order) to create the look of a traffic signal. Take the shot without using your hands, and while standing up. Use either a 3-oz glass or a small rocks/oldfashioned glass.

About Traffic Light #2

The Traffic Light #2 is a visually striking and flavorful shot that combines the bold and spicy notes of cinnamon schnapps, the sweet and fruity essence of peach schnapps, and the herbal complexity of absinthe. This drink is named for its layered appearance, which resembles a traffic light, with each layer offering a distinct taste experience. The cinnamon schnapps provides a warm, fiery start, followed by the smooth and sweet middle layer of peach schnapps, and finishing with the intense, herbal kick of absinthe. The combination of these flavors results in a unique and memorable drinking experience that tantalizes the senses.

The origins of the Traffic Light #2 are somewhat obscure, as it appears to be one of many creative concoctions that emerged from the cocktail renaissance of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. This era saw a resurgence in cocktail culture, with bartenders experimenting with new flavor combinations and presentation techniques. The Traffic Light #2, like many layered shots, became popular for its aesthetic appeal as much as its taste, showcasing the bartender's skill in creating visually pleasing drinks. While not as famous as some classic cocktails, this shot remains a fun and intriguing option for those looking to try something different.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Shot Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
