About Twin Hills

The Twin Hills cocktail is a harmonious blend of whiskey, citrus, and herbal flavors, creating a sophisticated and refreshing drink. At its core, the cocktail features 1 1/2 oz of whiskey, providing a robust, warming base. This is complemented by the bright acidity of 1 1/2 teaspoons each of lemon and lime juice, which balance the richness of the whiskey. Adding depth and complexity, 2 teaspoons of Benedictine introduce herbal notes, while 1 teaspoon of sugar softens the tartness of the citrus. Garnished with a slice of lemon, the Twin Hills cocktail is both visually appealing and aromatic, making it an enticing choice for any occasion.

The origins of the Twin Hills cocktail are somewhat obscure, but it likely emerged during the era when cocktails began to gain popularity in the United States. The combination of whiskey and Benedictine hints at a classic style reminiscent of early 20th-century mixology, where bartenders experimented with layering flavors to create nuanced drinks. The Twin Hills cocktail embodies the spirit of innovation, blending traditional whiskey with the vibrant freshness of citrus and the aromatic complexity of Benedictine. This drink is perfect for those who appreciate a well-balanced cocktail that is both refreshing and richly flavored.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
