Recipe:
2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
2 dashes Bitters
1 tsp Sugar (or 1 tblsp Simple Syrup)
1 Maraschino Cherry
1 Orange Peel

Instructions

Mix Sugar (or Simple Syrup), Bitters in an old-fashioned glass. Drop in a Cherry and an Orange wedge. Muddle into a paste using a muddler or the back end of a spoon. Pour in Bourbon, fill with ice cubes, and stir. Higher quality bourbon is important here, as it's the main flavor in the drink. Some prefer using Simple Syrup, but the choice is ultimately yours.

Old Fashioned - Summary

An old-fashioned cocktail is a classic and simple cocktail that dates back to the early 19th century. It's known for its timeless appeal and is often considered one of the original cocktails, which is why it has remained a favorite among cocktail enthusiasts for centuries.

This drink style is classified as a Cocktail and is Alcoholic, so drink responsibly! The recommended glass type for this drink is Old Fashioned Glass. We say, feel free to serve it in whatever you have available; it will still taste the same :)

You may also use different variations of the same ingredient. For example, you could change up fruit types or sugar substitutes. Other substitutions would include different brands of liquor. For example, if your drink calls for a specific type of whiskey, you could try using bourbon instead of Irish.

Crafting cocktails should be fun, so get creative and make it your own. Who knows, you might find your next favorite!
