About Cherry Long Island

The Cherry Long Island is a vibrant twist on the classic Long Island Iced Tea, known for its potent mix of spirits and refreshing taste. This cocktail blends an ounce each of white rum, gin, and cherry-flavored vodka, creating a robust base that is both smooth and flavorful. The addition of half an ounce of triple sec and cherry juice imparts a sweet, tangy undertone, while the sweet and sour mix adds a delightful tartness. Finished with a splash of lemon-lime soda, this drink offers a fizzy and refreshing finish, making it a perfect choice for those who enjoy a balanced cocktail with a fruity flair.

The Cherry Long Island is a modern adaptation of the traditional Long Island Iced Tea, a drink that originated in the 1970s. The classic version is renowned for its combination of multiple spirits and a splash of cola, giving it the appearance of iced tea. The Cherry Long Island maintains the spirit-forward essence of the original but introduces cherry flavors to create a more playful and colorful beverage. Its origins are less documented than the classic, but its popularity is rising as a fun and fruity alternative that appeals to those who appreciate bold, mixed drinks with a twist.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Beer Mug or Pilsner Glass, though any glass works!
