Gin and Tonic
Alcoholic Cocktail Highball Glass 3 ingredients

Recipe

  • 2 oz Gin
  • 5 oz Tonic Water
  • 1 Lime Wedge OR Lime Juice

Instructions

Pour the Gin and the Tonic Water into a highball glass almost filled with ice cubes. Stir well. Garnish with the Lime wedge. We highly recommend squeezing the lime into the drink as well. The addition of the lime juice really puts it over the top. Some users also add fresh lime juice to the mix in addition to the lime wedge garnish.

The key to a great gin and tonic is the quality of the gin and tonic water, the right proportions, and plenty of ice. Adjust the ratio of gin to tonic according to your taste preference. Some people prefer a stronger gin flavor, while others like a more diluted, refreshing taste.

About Gin and Tonic

A gin and tonic is a classic cocktail made by combining gin and tonic water. It is typically served over ice in a highball or rocks glass and garnished with a slice of lime or lemon. The drink is known for its refreshing and crisp flavor profile. The proportions of gin to tonic water can be adjusted to suit your taste. Some people prefer a stronger gin flavor, while others enjoy a more balanced ratio. It's a versatile drink that can be customized based on personal preferences.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Highball Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!

This is about as simple as it gets, proving sometimes the simplest things are the best. While it's relatively easy to make, I do recommend using a higher quality Gin, as you can certainly taste if if you don't. It's also fun to experiment with different tonic waters as they now come in may varieties. A personal favorite (if you're wanting to deviate from the original), is to instead use Elderflower Tonic Water by Fever Tree. Either way, this is a classic and you can't go wrong, especially on a hot summer day.
