About JMO Sling

The JMO Sling is a refreshing cocktail that combines the rich flavors of gin and sloe gin with a touch of citrus and effervescence. The drink starts with equal parts of gin and sloe gin, which provides a complex base. Gin brings its classic juniper-forward notes, while sloe gin, a liqueur made from sloe berries, adds a fruity and slightly tart dimension. A splash of sweet and sour mix introduces a balanced sweetness and acidity, enhancing the drink's overall profile. Topped off with 4 to 5 ounces of club soda, the JMO Sling becomes a sparkling, light, and refreshing cocktail perfect for any occasion.

The origins of the JMO Sling are not widely documented, but it likely draws inspiration from traditional gin slings and other classic cocktails that emphasize a balance of spirits and mixers. Slings have a long history, dating back to early 19th-century America, where they were enjoyed for their simplicity and refreshing qualities. By incorporating sloe gin, the JMO Sling adds a unique twist to this historical cocktail category, offering a modern take that appeals to contemporary tastes while still nodding to its roots.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Collins Glass, though any glass works!
