Alcoholic Cocktail Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass 2 ingredients

Recipe

  • 750 ml Vodka
  • 1 - 2 package Candy

Instructions

Take your favorite Jolly Rancher Candy flavor, unwrap and place in a container that you can seal as well as see inside easily (mason jar, Water bottle, Wine bottle). Pour Vodka, or your favorite Vodka, over the Candy until it is just above it. Seal container and let it sit for a day or two, or until Candy has dissolved. Occasionally roll it around to help the Candy dissolve. Also, place in a warm spot as it will help break down the Candy. Once dissolved, pour over ice, add Vodka for taste, as it most likely will be too sweet. It can also be served as shots. My favorite is Finlandia Cranberry Vodka with Raspberry/Pineapple Jolly Rancher. This drink will sneak up on you, caution.

About Jolly Vodka

The Jolly Vodka cocktail is a playful and vibrant drink that combines the smooth potency of vodka with the sweet, fruity flavors of candy. This cocktail is made by infusing vodka with popular fruit-flavored candies, which results in a colorful and candy-sweet beverage that is as visually appealing as it is tasty. The infusion process allows the vodka to absorb the vivid colors and flavors of the candies, creating a drink that is not only flavorful but also a feast for the eyes.

The origins of the Jolly Vodka cocktail are somewhat informal and modern, reflecting a trend in contemporary mixology where traditional spirits are paired with unconventional ingredients to create unique and fun drinking experiences. This cocktail likely gained popularity as part of a broader movement towards creative and experimental cocktails, appealing to those with a sweet tooth and a love for nostalgic flavors. While there isn’t a specific historical moment that marks its inception, the Jolly Vodka has become a staple in parties and gatherings where a dash of whimsy and a burst of flavor are the order of the day.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
