Alcoholic Shot Shot Glass 3 ingredients

Recipe

  • 0.5 oz Black Sambuca
  • 0.25 oz Tequila
  • 0.25 oz Schnapps (Cinnamon)

Instructions

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know I'm the inventor of the shot. Did it for a bar course in college forever ago, but if anyone knows it by a different name or anything please feel free to let me know.Put Tequila and Goldschlager in the bottom of the glass (order doesn't matter) then the Sambuca on top. In theory what should happen is the Sambuca, being a heavier liquor than the other two will force its way to the bottom of the shot glass, causing the Tequila and Goldschlager to "billow" (like clouds) against a "dark sky" (the Sambuca) to the top, with the flecks of gold from the Goldschlager looking like lightning bolts. And the Tequila of course makes it Mexican. Its a powerful shot, but the Cinnamon flavour of the Goldschlager really cuts the liquorice flavour of the Sambuca and makes it taste pretty good. But I'd still say its an aquired taste, and it is pretty strong, and a few of them will definetley get you tipsy. Still its a cool shot, and my personal favourite :)

About Mexican Thunderstorm

The Mexican Thunderstorm is a bold and intriguing shot that combines unique flavors to create a memorable experience. This drink features three distinct ingredients: Black Sambuca, Tequila, and Cinnamon Schnapps. The Black Sambuca brings a rich, anise-flavored base that is both sweet and aromatic, while the Tequila adds a fiery kick that embodies the spirit of Mexico. The Cinnamon Schnapps rounds out the shot with a warm, spicy finish, creating a layered taste sensation that lives up to its stormy name.

The origins of the Mexican Thunderstorm are somewhat mysterious, as it seems to be a more recent creation in the world of mixed drinks. Its combination of Italian and Mexican spirits with a touch of spice suggests an inventive approach to cocktail crafting, likely designed to stand out at parties or bars. The shot's vibrant and intense flavor profile makes it a conversation starter, reflecting the adventurous nature of those who enjoy experimenting with bold new tastes. While not as widely known as other shots, the Mexican Thunderstorm is a testament to the creativity and fusion found in modern mixology.

This shot is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Shot Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
