About New Fashioned

The New Fashioned is a delightful twist on the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, infusing it with refreshing fruit and herb flavors. This modern concoction combines the warmth of bourbon whiskey with the rich, sweet complexity of vermouth, creating a beautifully balanced base. A dash of bitters adds subtle depth, while a splash of soda water lends a refreshing effervescence. The inclusion of fresh basil and ripe strawberries provides a vibrant, aromatic freshness, contrasting with the underlying warmth of the drink. A touch of raw sugar ties all the elements together, enhancing the natural sweetness of the strawberries and the herbal notes of the basil.

The New Fashioned is a testament to the evolving nature of cocktail culture, where classic recipes are reinvented with contemporary ingredients to suit modern palates. While the traditional Old Fashioned dates back to the early 19th century and is renowned for its simplicity, the New Fashioned embraces a more complex flavor profile. This drink is perfect for those who appreciate the classic bourbon cocktail but are looking for something with a fresh, fruity twist. It's an ideal choice for summer evenings or any occasion where you want to impress with a cocktail that offers both familiarity and innovation.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!
