About Patton Martini

The Patton Martini is a robust and savory cocktail that blends the classic elements of a Martini with a briny twist. It combines 1 1/2 ounces of gin with a splash of dry vermouth, creating a sophisticated base that is both crisp and aromatic. The drink is further enriched with a dash of olive juice, lending a unique umami depth that complements the spirit's botanical notes. Two cocktail onions and two olives are added as garnishes, providing a delightful contrast in both texture and flavor, with the onions offering a sweet-tangy bite and the olives adding a rich, salty finish.

The cocktail is named after General George S. Patton, an iconic figure known for his bold and decisive nature, much like the drink itself. While there is no definitive historical account of Patton's connection to this specific cocktail, the robust and slightly unconventional mix of ingredients is said to reflect his no-nonsense personality and love for strong, straightforward drinks. The Patton Martini is perfect for those who appreciate a classic cocktail with a daring twist, offering a taste experience that is both familiar and refreshingly different.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
