About Pink Gin Tonic

The Pink Gin Tonic is a refreshing twist on the classic gin and tonic, adding a splash of Campari to lend both color and complexity. With a base of 2 oz of gin, the drink is topped with 5 oz of tonic water, creating a fizzy, crisp base that is both invigorating and cooling. The addition of Campari introduces a hint of bittersweet flavor, which contrasts beautifully with the botanical notes of the gin. A wedge of lime adds a zesty, citrusy brightness that ties all the elements together.

The origins of the Pink Gin Tonic can be traced back to the traditional Pink Gin, a drink popularized by the British Royal Navy in the 19th century, which combined gin with a few dashes of Angostura bitters. The addition of Campari in the Pink Gin Tonic brings a contemporary twist to this naval classic, adding a vibrant hue and a touch of Italian flair. This modern adaptation appeals to those who appreciate the interplay of bitterness, sweetness, and effervescence in their cocktails.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Highball Glass, though any glass works!
