About Raspberry Iced Tea

The Raspberry Iced Tea is a vibrant and fruity cocktail that offers a delightful twist on the traditional Long Island Iced Tea. This drink combines a potent mix of spirits, including gin, silver tequila, vodka, and light rum, providing a robust foundation. The addition of raspberry liqueur infuses the cocktail with a sweet and tangy berry flavor, while triple sec adds a hint of citrus. The sweet and sour mix balances the drink with its refreshing tartness, making the Raspberry Iced Tea a perfect choice for those who enjoy a fruity yet strong cocktail.

The origins of the Raspberry Iced Tea are not well-documented, but it is likely inspired by the popularity of berry-infused cocktails and the classic Long Island Iced Tea, known for its diverse array of spirits. The Long Island Iced Tea itself was invented during the Prohibition era in the United States, as its appearance resembled that of a non-alcoholic iced tea, allowing drinkers to disguise their concoction. The Raspberry Iced Tea carries forward this spirit of innovation and adaptation, providing a refreshing and flavorful experience that has become a favorite at bars and gatherings.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Highball Glass, though any glass works!

Feel free to get creative with substitutions — try different fruit types, sugar substitutes, or liquor brands. Crafting cocktails should be fun!
