Snow Globe Cosmo
Alcoholic Cocktail Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass 7 ingredients

Recipe

  • 1 1/2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz White Cranberry Juice
  • 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur
  • 1/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • Edible White or Gold Glitter (Optional)
  • Fresh Rosemary (Garnish)
  • Sugared Cranberries (Garnish)

Instructions

Prepare your glass. Tape a rosemary sprig centered upright into a rocks glass. Then add water, to fill about a 1/4 of the glass, and freeze. This will create what will look like an evergreen tree in the center of the glass.

Combine the vodka, white cranberry juice, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and edible glitter into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well-chilled, and strain into the prepped rocks glass. Garnish with skewered sugared cranberries.

About Snow Globe Cosmo

The Snow Globe Cosmo is a delightful twist on the classic Cosmopolitan, offering a festive and visually enchanting experience. This cocktail combines the crisp, clean taste of vodka with the tartness of cranberry juice, balanced by the floral notes of elderflower liqueur. The addition of lemon juice adds a refreshing citrus zing, while a sprig of rosemary not only contributes a fragrant herbal aroma but also serves as a whimsical garnish that evokes the essence of a snow-dusted evergreen. The drink's presentation is reminiscent of a snow globe, creating a captivating visual effect that is perfect for holiday gatherings or any elegant occasion.

While the Snow Globe Cosmo doesn't have a long history like its predecessor, the Cosmopolitan, it embodies the same spirit of innovation and sophistication. The Cosmopolitan itself gained fame in the late 20th century, becoming a symbol of modern cocktail culture. The Snow Globe Cosmo builds on this legacy, infusing it with seasonal charm and a touch of botanical elegance, making it a contemporary favorite for those looking to elevate their cocktail repertoire. Its festive appearance and harmonious blend of flavors make it a standout choice for those seeking both style and substance in their cocktail experience.

This cocktail is alcoholic, so drink responsibly! Best served in a Rocks or Old-Fashioned Glass, though any glass works!

This is tasty and a cute holiday idea! I subbed the vodka for gin, and added a little club soda for bubbles since we don’t have glitter. Might have been the brand of white cranberry juice but the liquid wasn’t very clear to be able to see the rosemary “tree” very well, but it didn’t detract from the flavor
